Thanks to my own dear mother, I know I will have a bit of a complex regarding ensuring things are somewhat "equal" between my 2 children. Because I had
maternity photos taken with Annie, I knew I wanted at least some professional photographic documentation of this pregnancy as well! It really does come in handy having a professional photographer as a friend ;) As with all of our photo sessions, these were taken by the lovely
Kate NG Sommers (the very same one who was just featured in
the baby shower post) and they turned out great, despite it feeling like Annie was crying or whining for 75% of the time we were taking photos! Definitely a different experience than the last maternity photo shoot :) These were taken when I was about
34 weeks pregnant.
The last family photos we had taken were
when Annie was 16 months old - they were taken literally DAYS before I got pregnant. Seeing how much a toddler changes in 9 months really does make it evident just how LONG pregnancy is - crazy! Seriously - she didn't even need to have her bangs off her face... she had JUST started walking. Ok, enough reminiscing of days of yore - moving on to this photo session!! Here are a select few (ha) of my favorites - thanks to Kate for capturing our family of 3 for the last time!

I love these so much!! I think if I had to pick a fave it would be the one of you holding Annie in front of the window, in color. LOVE the light. And I totally hear you on feeling the need to make everything 'equal' between kids. I wonder if that goes away once baby #2 is actually here? :)
These are so great! Annie has such a cute smile, but her serious face is adorable too. Also love you all in blue - very sweet. :)

My fav is the one of just you and Ben. Very lovely.
They were taken outside the Casket Arts Building in NE (where our last maternity pics were taken - but this time it was locked) so we actually just headed over to Clockwork for the indoor photos, since none of the "cool" buildings were open on a Sunday.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the b&w with your belly and Annie sucking her thumb. Absolutely precious. And the rest of them are great as well.
I know I'm going to be all weird about things being equal when I get pregnant again too. If I did it with Ryann I'll have to do it with #2, if I didn't do it with Ryann, is it rude for me to do it with #2? I'm going to be a nut. But I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get there :).

Great pictures!!!!!! Your little girl looked happy for most of them!!!! Can't wait to see your baby!!! You are soo close. I had my youngest at 37 weeks, 6 days.. :)
