The last time we took a family vacation was July 2008 when we went up to Ely - we were short a few boyfriends/fiances and 3 small children at that point so it was a little less hectic :) To compare - here is a family photo I found from that trip. It is kind of shocking how much older we all look. Especially those of us who are now parents :)

Here is our whole group now! I find this amazing that every single person is looking at the camera and looking at least mildly happy. Wow. Especially considering Annie did NOT want to pose for this photo at all.

Some looked a little wonky, but oh well :)

Breakfast!

Chopping veggies for a hash (sort of like this but with sweet potatoes (of course!), peppers, onions and garlic)

Beautiful :)

Because one iPad just isn't enough

Risen and ready to pop in the oven!

Pre-glaze

I kind of want to make these every day now

Perfection!

We make a great team :)

Enjoying the goods

Shockingly, Annie was a fan

Ben's mom made this outfit for Annie - so cute! (She was also intently setting up the placemats with "cups" for a little dinner party)
I was SO tired from sleeping in the same room as Annie and her waking up like 5x the night before, and me really not sleeping at all, so I had to take a nap while this pontoon ride was going on - looked fun though :)

Annie really enjoyed all the pine needles. Totally safe for her to play with I'm sure.

Ben reading to all the kiddos, some of them actually listening.

I also made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies - OMG amazing. Thanks to Ashley for the heads up to the recipe (a year ago - thank you starred items in Google Reader!)!
Annie enjoys this chair to sit in on her own, and also to set up and bounce her baby :) I think she helps bounce the baby at daycare, although I hope she's not QUITE so vigorous :)

Please note this jacket/hat combo still fits and is in fact big despite me getting it for her LAST YEAR (looking at that pic, though, reminds me that it was not only big, but HUGE last year)

Family in our hats :)

Every time Annie saw Joe - she would yell "JOE!!!!!!! JOE!!!!!!!!!" until he looked at her :) She does this now when we show her pics of him too - ha!

I did a lot of this - reading Outlander and drinking cider - beautiful.

Oh this just warms my heart - Annie really does turn into such a snuggler when she's tired now! This also is pretty much identical to how Becca laid with Annie when she was a tiny newborn :) (including below so everyone can see how tiny she was.......OMG..... and soon there will be another tiny one....!)

Ben, headphones on for some serious cooking of black bean soup - a HUGE hit with everyone, especially Annie! She ate it for like 10 meals in a row and devoured a big bowl each time.

Threw in a bunch of CSA veggies here too - some tomatillos and parsnips

More reading with the grandparents while we cooked!

Ben was EXTREMELY proud of his huge double batch of soup :)

The finished product - I also made cornbread to go with this - yumo.

Annie wanted to see the ceiling at every opportunity

Trying to help :)

Super cute new hoodie w/ coordinating top from Target - from Aunt Liz!
When we first got there, I didn't think Annie would be able to get up on this alone, and rock it - but she proved me wrong!

Wasn't so sure about the hammock when we brought her down to the beach :)

Just walking along, way ahead of us, with her hands in her pockets :) ha!

On a runway?!

Ready to go in I guess!

Family reading time!

Annie kept trying to take Outlander and read it. Sorry honey, the content isn't quite appropriate for your age range :)

I whipped up a 7 layer dip with help from Becca and Steve - it was seriously devoured in minutes.

Grace loves participating in games!

Annie was pretty thrilled to have a new partner in ring around the rosie

Playing cribbage on the deck

Helped Grandma make biscuits!

Decided I should make an appearance at the nightly fire, and Becca had to snap a pic

Found a new hat!

Walking around in Grandma's shoes before we left

The weather ended up being pretty nice for late October, so we were able to enjoy some time outdoors even - but the vast majority of the time was spent just hanging out in the cabin, reading - and mostly cooking or baking, which was fun! All the kids were in charge of food - we used Google Docs to track who was doing what and for everyone to add their necessary ingredients to a grocery list, and then Ben went on a massive grocery trip to the little crappy store in Minong, WI - I think he overwhelmed their produce department, especially :) The amount of garlic we purchased was nothing short of astounding.

The main level of the cabin - that little booster seat was there, along with tons of other toys, a full size crib, and lots of toddler dishes - it was great, and totally unexpected!

Annie got right to reading with Grandma after getting up from her nap

Cousins! All entranced with each other at first.

Annie looks a LITTLE crazy in this one :)

Just sitting on a dog bed playing with some outlets. No big deal.

Annie's FAVORITE toy at the cabin

Sam getting fed in Annie's old chair

Annie very excited to find the "Dadoos! Purple!" (really not sure why she still calls flowers dadoos, but I kind of hope she never figures it out because it's so cute :)

Annie was a very willing participant in this photo...

Couldn't resist the chair... probably ended up breaking it since now it's pretty much ON the floor.

Lots of games were played

Giving Uncle Steve a head massage

Grandparent cuddles

Cups for everyone!

Making dinner the first night!

Kiddos under the table

Since Steve didn't cook anything, we made him do all the dishes. Fun! :)

Good thing we found a wine decanter

The main thing I wanted to make this weekend was cinnamon rolls - I used this recipe from Crumbly Cookie and they seriously turned out amazing - I prepped everything the night before and just put them in the fridge before baking, as she says you can do in the recipe. Perfect!

OK that was a wee bit long :) Too many cute pics to share I guess! If you made it this far, congrats :)

holy cow, you outdid yourself with pictures this time! I have to say that the cinnamon rolls made me physically drool on my keyboard, btw. And Annie is too stinking cute!
that is quite the stash of photos. :) super cute! i love her in that blue coat, and the picture from last year is quite hilarious. and i should seriously make some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies again. i made pumpkin snicker doodles yesterday and it just wasn't as good.
Looks like a great weekend. I wish I could have been an honorary Reichelt.
Looks like a fun trip! My favorite part is your Dillon Panthers t-shirt :)
