Flashback: 7 Weeks

I'm just going to crank these out daily so I can get myself back to present day quicker - all these flashback posts are pretty short anyway. Also, I have nary a photo of me at all from this week, so I will just include a photo of Annie and Adelaide at Java Train so I can at least vaguely recall where I was during this week in my life.

Oh, I just got a new question about #2 from Loving All of It on my announcement post asking if I will continue working - the answer is a definitive yes! Not only could we not afford the lifestyle that we are accustomed to on one income, but I am definitely not cut out to be a stay at home mom. In fact, I just reserved our spot for #2 at our daycare yesterday when Sue mentioned a new infant starting in October - I figured I better get on that now, just in case she gets more inquiries! There might be some more creative work hours by both Ben and myself after the second arrives, but we will both continue to work full time, full steam ahead :)

Adelaide and Annie at Java Train

Due Date:
February 25, 2012

Weight Gain: I weighed myself finally, and weighed the same as I did before I got pregnant with Annie, so now I have my starting point. Don't think there was any weight gain yet.

Symptoms: Definitely hit me this week. Started getting very gaggy and nauseous. Had to stop eating a few meals. Needed to eat first thing in the morning. Still getting up to pee. Not really sleeping well at all and always absolutely exhausted with no relief.

What's different this time: Still not as nervous, but starting to get there with the ultrasound coming in a week.

Cravings: Bland food. Pizza.

Aversions: Anything too flavorful turns my stomach a bit.

Sleep: Sucks, as usual.

I am loving: Giving myself permission to go to bed at 9pm.

I miss: Energy, mostly that. My appetite.

I am looking forward to: Still just the ultrasound.

I'm spazzing about: Eh, not much. Nothing I can do about it anyway.

Best thing about this week: I finally told a few friends this week - it was fun to get it out there a bit. Rebekah is just 3 weeks further along than I am so I'm hopeful this pregnancy sticks so we can go through it all together. (I love how I say "finally" as if making it to 7 weeks pregnant was some huge accomplishment :) I guess this was 3 weeks after I found out, so that is awhile for me to keep a secret, as anyone who knows me well knows!)

Milestones: Morning sickness, fatigue, oh my!

Movement: Still have very frequent bowel movements if that counts.

It's a...: Whatever.

Exercise: Nope.

Diet: Not great, had mac and cheese instead of a healthy meal we had planned. Giving it to what I think I can tolerate to avoid barfing.

coming up from our hell on earth sickness to say a belated (and official) congrats on coming out! :) Ha ha ha---coming out. You know what I mean. Very informative and detailed posts, as always, and I'm excited to read more. I hope you make a pg book for this baby with all of these posts, too---like Annie's one year book. I still love my pg book from Truman's time in my belly.
