Another cabin trip!

We've been up to the cabin so much this summer - Ben is loving it :) He definitely is a bigger cabin fan than I am - I DO love it up there, but I also love being in the cities in the summer too! It's been a good mix so far. This time, we made plans to go up with our friends Jake and Allison, who hadn't been up for MANY years.... I honestly think it was 2005 the last time they were there - crazy! I went back to look at my pics - my how times have changed. Back then I took a grand total of 12 photos for the entire weekend, and none are actually good - this was the ONLY one I took that actually including both Jake and Allison in it - the best part of this photo is seeing Justin with a lot of hair :)

dinner time
Um yeah. What a great photo.

The weather was beautiful - my parents also were up there, which was great for us because they could watch Annie sometimes! I DO so love hearing Annie wake up, and going out to get her, only to see my mom beat me to it - have at it, Grandma! Anyway, here are some photos from the weekend!

Jake and Ben making breakfast
Making the ladies breakfast!

Sharing breakfast
Always have to share with this one, of course

Annie and Mom
Annie happily played with a wipe for the entire pontoon ride... whatever works!

Dad and Annie

Jake and Allison

Floating with beers
Ben and Jake enjoying the floaties with a whole cooler of beer. Because 1 each obviously isn't enough.

Allison and Jake at The Wharf
My parents watched Annie on Friday night, so we got to go out to The Wharf for dinner - crappy food again, but fun people watching!

Crazy boat at The Wharf
yeah, these are the kinds of boats you see there. Nuts!

Ben and Erin at The Wharf
Ben was lounging

putting on her shoes
Annie is TRYING to get on her own shoes - needs a little work :)

In Nisswa
The weather was a bit iffy, so we took a trip to Nisswa to check things out - the sun was bright at this point, obviously, given the shut eyes here :)

Annie in the bookstore
Annie loves all the toys at the bookstore!

Ben and Annie outside the Totem Pole
Annie was a bit wary of the horse outside the Totem Pole...

Root beer float
Because of a horrible rumor started by Jake that A&Ws were closing, we felt we HAD to hit this one up. Turns out to be false, but I was still glad for the root beer floats!

VERY excited about the root beer float
So was Annie!

Erin and root beer float

Annie loves A&W
Ha - yeah, not my proudest parenting moment, but everyone deserves some fried food sometimes, right?!?!

Jake & Allison

Family at A&W

Annie snacking on peas
After that lunch, Annie's snack was just a BIT healthier

Annie looking at dad
Right after Ben lost his sunglasses in the lake. It's okay, they were from high school :)

Annie and Mom

Ben encouraged Jake to try the Leisure Dive - it was pretty hilarious.

Attempting leisure diving
Yeah, Ben kind of sucked at leisure diving :)

And thanks for getting my camera all wet, too :)

Annie amused at the leisure diving
Annie was all......... WTF, mate?

Attempting leisure diving
This one makes me LOL - he hurt himself pretty good there :)

Then it was time for a little waterskiing - they had gone earlier and both claimed to be drinking beers while waterskiing, which Allison and I didn't believe, so they had to recreate it.

Way to go, guys :)

Hi Mom
Annie still liked to SHOUT to people from the deck :)

First corn on the cob!
Got to enjoy her first corn on the cob, from our CSA!

Playing with Grandpa's watch
Annie loves her grandpa's watch (and really any bracelet type thing!)

Ben delivering smores and drinks
Ben was a good waiter out by the fire :)

Breakfast
Another bonus of my parents being there - breakfasts cooked by Dad!

Annie kept climbing on this and bouncing - also note how often she pulls at her belly button...

Shhhhh!
She also likes telling us Shhhhhhhh lately :)

Grandma, Annie and Mom
One last pontoon ride with the grandparents after Jake and Allison left!

Driving the pontoon

Annie eating a banana
I gave Annie an entire banana for the first time at lunch - she didn't quite finish it - so now I know that she DOES have a limit of how much banana she can eat!

Passed out
The ride home - too bad this only occurred for 45 minutes, instead of 2 hours :)

Those leisure dives are freaking hilarious.

Also, Annie eats peas for a snack? That girl is amazing!

Also, your cabin trips are always so much fun to see. Also, I want a Root Beer right now!
