At the cabin with toddlers...

To start off our week up at the cabin, we had our neighbors (can I still call them my neighbors if one family has now MOVED AWAY?? SOBBBB) up there with us to relive our awesome weekend last year, this time around with crazy toddlers! We all left on Thursday night, and Annie only slept for like a half hour which made for a NOT so relaxing drive up there, but oh well. At least we stopped for a DQ Blizzard.

Since I took approximately 500 photos, I'll just go with my favorites to give you the run down of the weekend.

Morning at the cabin
Breakfast on the deck! No Annie yet, since after going to bed at like 10 and waking up about 7 times that night, she at least decided to sleep until 9 (too bad everyone else woke me up anyway :)

Morning at the cabin
Nate got a toy plane (I'm sure that is not the appropriate term for this piece of machinery but oh well) and had to try it out immediately, especially given the complete lack of wind

Morning at the cabin
Finally woke up!

Morning at the cabin
Nice bed head

Morning at the cabin
At least she cleans up nice

3 girls in a grocery store
Somehow, we convinced the men to take all the girls to the grocery store :)

Pontoon ride
Seriously, I have barely ever seen the lake this calm!

There were many pontoon rides to be had

In the backyard at the cabin
I just love this outfit, the whole thing courtesy of Aunt Liz. Clearly Annie likes striking a pose too!

Annie always has to have her eye on the prize

Finally, success

Impractical but cute white skirt
White skirts and sidewalk chalk don't exactly pair well!

Playing in the car
Just trying to listen to music, and the girls took over the car

Bathtime!
This is the only one that doesn't require a modesty patch from triple bathtime

Standing her ground
and then a showdown

MJ in timeout
Probably my favorite pic from the weekend, MJ in timeout (except it looks like Aaron is in timeout too!)

Molly and Annie

Breakfast
Lots of great meals were had!

Banana vultures! (Why yes, I DID pick up 3 coordinating outfits at Target for the weekend! I will share my faves from that photoshoot in a separate post because there are FAR too many)

Fire by the lalke
Some peace and quiet after bedtime (kind of...... VITO! (slow snap))

Mia, Nate and Annie

Then I had to leave pretty early Sunday morning to get back to a bridal shower, and then came back up Sunday night to reunite with Ben and Annie! Surprisingly, the 3 hour drives were some of my favorite times - how often do I get to listen to WHATEVER music I want, at WHATEVER volume I want (very loud) and sing along at the top of my lungs?? I was seriously hoarse when I returned. It was awesome. Even without AC (fixed now, thankfully). I also hit the jackpot with some mix CDs I found from 2001 and 2002 made for me by my debate students at the time. Hoo boy. (one featured song? Area Codes by Ludacris)

More to come from the cabin!

I want to go back NOW. This was so much fun. Thanks again for hosting. Next time, you totally get my vote for your 02 mix tapes as the weekend soundtrack... or at least for the boat rides. Boat rides only get better with old school pop.
