If you read our 128 Cafe post, you know that Ben's mom wanted to take Annie for Friday, which was great - she got some time with her grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins, and since Ben had already taken the day off since daycare was closed, he was able to get some stuff done around the house! My mother-in-law posted some super cute pics of their day together! Annie is in love with little babies and giving kisses lately, so of course she was a big fan of her little cousins!
Helping Sam keep his pacifier in :)
Um, Grace looks almost as big as Annie! Ha!
She even got a sewing lesson! Good thing, because she sure won't be getting that from her mama :)
After I got home, we had an impromptu gathering of the neighbors. These 3 girls are just getting cuter and cuter. I always love the preview of what we're in for next with Annie. I have to say, it's really not so pretty - while the increased ability to communicate will of course be awesome, the crazy possessiveness over EVERYTHING and increased FORCE of tantrums... not looking so fun! I've always heard ~18 months is a tough age, and I can definitely see why... but of course I just love those girls! Especially because I'm not the one that has to deal with them... :)
We got Annie a little doll stroller - it is a HUGE hit with everyone
Mia's family taught her to "drop it like it's hot" while on vacation :)
MJ is slightly wary at the idea of sharing her mom, but she decides that it's ok
MJ loved the stroller most of all
On Saturday, we had an outing planned to see Annie with Rebekah, Rett and Adelaide at the Children's Theater! When Rebekah asked me several months ago if we wanted to go, I knew it might be hit or miss but we had to give it a chance - how could we turn it down?! We went to the Bad Waitress beforehand, and then to the 11am show. It was actually quite long, lasting over 2 hours with the intermission, but both girls did awesome! I was very impressed. Annie even seemed to enjoy it, especially the musical numbers. I DID feed her pretty much a constant stream of snacks, but she only got slightly squirmy at the end of the 2nd act. Overall, definitely a success!
Annie is finally figuring out how to smile and look at the camera when I ask :)
Already has a "cheese" smile too :)
Buckles, zippers, buttons, etc will keep Annie occupied for a good long time - thankfully since our food took FOREVER
During intermission
This was after the show when Annie was pretty much dunzo, but I had to get a pic of her by the sign
Justttt a little tired - too bad this short car nap ruined her for her real nap!
After messing around in her crib for a solid hour, finally Annie admitted she needed more than 25 minutes of sleep for the day. But then (at 4pm) when I went to get her up, I realized her eyes were open. Weirdo.
Watched Dad get the backyard back in order
How Annie ended her day - she likes to shove her bunny underneath her. Really comfortable!

re: shoving her bunny underneath her... The Rooman sleeps with "Bear Bear" between his legs held tightly with a scissor move.
Babies are weird.

I'm really impressed she was able to stay good for two hours! Clearly a result of great parenting :)
Wow... I think that is awesome that she enjoyed the show. I am not sure Eva would sit still. those "cheeses" are so cute.
And... I just realized you had another blog?! Where have I been?
LOVE the pigtails!
