It was one of THOSE nights. I was so looking forward to seeing Annie since I hadn't seen her for almost 24 hours (went shopping last night, and then left before she woke up this morning) and she was pretty much a crankpot from the moment I walked in until she went to bed! Didn't want to
eat dinner (despite it being a
delicious meal - which makes it even more frustrating to me), and EVERYTHING was frustrating her to the point of freaking out - using her fork to eat, putting a lid back on a box, having to basically do anything. Fun!! I rarely bust out the Ergo at home, but tonight it was worth a shot to avoid more tears. It kind of worked, but only for like 15 minutes, and then she went in a bath which thankfully she enjoyed as always! Helpful to end the night on a positive note at least.
While these nights are hard for Ben and I, I also have to remember that they are hard for Annie too. She's tired out after a long and busy day at daycare, her molars are coming in, and she has a bit of a runny nose. I'm glad she's getting the rest she needs now, and hopeful that there won't be too many wake ups tonight!
Looks pretty happy, right?!
Poor little Annie!

oh man.. that face. I know that face. That is the "I am so angry, hurt and sad and you are going pay face."
Glad to know I am not alone. I hope she feels better tomorrow and that you get some "fun" Annie time soon.
Oh yes. Those nights. We had one tonight too. Because our guy refused to nap at grandma's all day. Tomorrow is another day right? Ugh.
Awe...look at her cute little face! Hope the teeth get through soon!
The Ergo saves me when Lila's a grump, too. I haven't put her on my back yet. I need to do that and see what she thinks.
