Last week, we took Annie's first trip to the park. You may think we're crazy for not having her in a jacket, but she was in the Ergo and she's clearly a tough Minnesotan, because she was QUITE upset when we left!
I had to get some daffodils at the grocery store to brighten up our dining room table!
We had a wedding and a birthday party to go to on Saturday, so we brought Annie down to my parents house for an overnight visit. All reports are that everyone had a grand time! We hadn't left her anywhere overnight for 3 months, so I was a bit worried she'd be upset when we left but luckily she was too intrigued with her new surroundings and the new little people toy that Grandma got her.
Right before we left for the Grandparents
The wedding! Congrats to Kelly and Stephen!
Got to go for a walk
Hang out with Aunt Liz
Apparently tried to escape!
Saw some planes (I can't tell you how happy I was to see this pic of Annie finally pointing - FIN-AL-LY!!!!!! Now she's pointing away. So I guess it's all fine, obviously. A lot of the time it sounds like she's saying "What's that?" over and over again as she points too, which is obviously adorable. Not sure she REALLY means that but it sounds like it at least!)
Hugs!
Loved the windows which were at perfect Annie height
Someone was a little tired out after all that excitement!
After we got home and did some grocery shopping, there was a little incident involving Ben dropping Annie on the ground that was a bit harrowing for us all. Luckily he broke her fall somewhat but she still fell a few feet onto a pile of leaves which was covering basically a patch of ice. Lovely! She was quite shaken up and upset but not hurt - we stripped her down to check for injuries - she landed on her back and had no scratches but was crying for a good 30 minutes almost. She calmed down while I was rocking her and even fell asleep for a bit but WOULD NOT let me go. Yes, I'll admit to liking that part, but obviously it was not worth her falling to get there!
Then it was up and at 'em and back to pushing around her basket!
We then had a visit from Becca, Joe, Grace and Sam! It had been a LONG TIME since the cousins have been together - since right after we got back from Mexico! Annie was very interested in them. Sam and Grace were not so interested in her.
I'd just love to know what Annie is thinking - ok, here's one little person
And ANOTHER! Ooh, he's smiling... how cute
If you think your kid had a bad bald spot, I challenge you to beat Grace's - hers is off the charts :)
Bathtime and brushing hair after another messy meal. See that drool again? Annie's 8th tooth just popped through (Bottom right - now she's got 4 on top and 4 on bottom)
And today, we got in more park time! I am seeing MANY tantrums in our future - Annie loves being outside so much that literally every time we've brought her inside after a bit of playtime she gets pretty upset. There were quite a few people at the park today, and Annie got to make a little friend - it'll be interesting to see who we meet there this summer now that Annie is actually capable of doing more than swinging!

Oh dear. I hate that she fell but that picture if you rocking her is too sweet.
We have the same problem about tantrums when we come inside. Isaac loves when I grab his hands and help him run so I've started doing that when we need to go inside and he's so excited to be running, he doesn't even notice he's been tricked. :) Let's hope he doesn't catch on haha!
annie with those little babies = too much!!! LOVE.
Also, love the pic of her holding you even if it was because of a fall.
Yes. The tantrums when coming inside. Yes. It is quite exhausting, and I'm thinking unavoidable with strong-willed kids like ours. :)
Look at her inspecting the slide!
Tantrums are the meanest kind of torture...
The "whats that" when pointing is so new to Eva right now. She does it everywhere. IT is the cutest thing. I wonder where they get it from. It isn't like we say "what's that" all day?
Erin, I just looked at these pictures again and realized that you had mascara circles (I think?) under your eyes in the picture of you rocking Annie, which means that you were crying because she was hurt and you were scared/upset, which made me cry empathetically, so in conclusion, thanks a lot for making me cry at work. Again.
:)
