I brought some toys for the kiddos to play with, but they seemed to mostly just want to run around
I was so glad Marianne and Kurt were able to make it with not quite 1 month old Miles!
And Becca and Joe brought baby Grace - she seemed to love the party. Hopefully soon her bro Sam will get to visit with everyone too!
Unlike Annie and Mia, Madeline is fine keeping bows in her hair :)

We all settled in to watch the slideshow I made for Annie's birthday... and there was no sound. And I almost started crying. And Ben almost jumped out the window. But luckily Nate jumped in and fixed a loose cable and saved the day :) I'm so grateful to Molly for grabbing my camera and catching this and the next photo!
Annie was quite interested in the packages, so I let her go at a few. I did a horrible job of keeping track of who gave her what... so thank you cards are going to be interesting...

Annie is a big fan of this one - now she'll have more things to play with in the kitchen, since she appears to have lost her favorite part of the steamer basket somewhere... I'm sure it'll show up in the oddest of places

Then it was time for the cake! Annie was pretty excited
We all sang, and she was all, get on with it and give me the dang cake!
I had to blow it out quick before she grabbed the flame
She went right after it, but I helped her out by breaking the cake up into a few pieces
It feels like someone is watching...

and so did Madeline
She did a pretty good job cleaning her plate
I think she wants another one
Yup, definitely angry :) (she wanted her water)
But as soon as she sees Grandpa, Happy!
and happy to see her other Grandpa, too!
After that, she played shirtless with Adelaide until it was time to go home, up WAY past her bedtime and sang in the crib for a good long time before finally crashing at like 8:40!

I am laughing at the 'stalker you' in the background of that photo. That is so me. :)
Also, the pic of everyone watching the slideshow is amazing. I almost teared up a few times looking at these, actually. And Annie singing to her self in the crib until almost 9 cracks me up for some reason. Like she was re-hashing the great party and couldn't calm down over the fabulousness.

Erin, Joe and I were majorly impressed with all the hard work you put into Annie's party. Everything was beautiful, classy, and well put-together. Such a lucky girl to have a mom like you! Oh, and we're also glad Annie likes the fridge toy. :)
